They don’t care what you look like or how many spots you have, and they’ll just want to enjoy doing activities you love together.

People tend to think others care about them way more than they do, and when you are dressed up for an evening out, you’ll soon find there’s much more to attract their attention than your acne.

Dress For Success

Putting on your favorite outfit or grooming your hair in a pretty new hairstyle can help to distract you from worrying about acne. While you may want to conceal your acne with makeup, this isn’t something you should feel like you have to do every time you step outside of your house.

In fact, many people try to avoid covering up their skin to allow it to breathe. Wear something that makes you look and feel your best, and you’ll soon find your friends have much more to talk about with you than your skin.

Focus on the Experience

When your skin is itchy and uncomfortable, it can be hard to stay present in the moment, but try to focus on the conversations and experiences you are having.

You aren’t going to remember the worries in your head in the future, but you will remember the great time you had on your night out.

Try to be more mindful about what you are thinking and doing, and make the most of every moment you have with your friends.

Tell Your Closest Friend How You Are Feeling

On those days when you are struggling with the idea of going out for the night and meeting up with a big group of people, tell your best friend how you are feeling.

They’ll then understand why you might be a little quieter that night and will work to encourage you to relax and enjoy the moment. When you share your problem, you’ll find it was probably a lot worse in your mind than in reality, and good friends will encourage you through any situation.
